RED EYE.

I know, I know. I saw the film about two weeks ago. But it's SO GOOD ! WOIUAROIAWIORUIOAWR ! :D

Okay.

Here's a poster, it looks so cool, yeah ? *happy happy happy face.*

Surprisingly, Emma, from Glee decides to show up in here. But she was in here WAY before Glee existed. Hehe. It's a 2005 movie, so it's not that old.

By the way, the names might be familiar - just not Cillian Murphy's. But what I do know about him is that he'll be Inception. Which I'm also looking forward too, hehe, super-drool.

Just a re-cap though, Rachel McAdams was in Mean Girls. As Regina George.

If I do try to write up a brief synopsis of the movie, I'll leave out crucial details. Maybe I'll have a go, hehe. And surprisingly, even though I don't generally like thrillers, I LOVE THIS MOVIE HEHEHE SUPER-DROOL (*W&%*(&(*ASFJKHkjahwkjry89&(*%#&.

So technically, it's a movie about a young woman called Lisa Reisert (.. Strange anme, I know.) who hates flying, (and is also played by Rachel McAdams) but she has to go on a plane back to where she lives, at Miami after she attended her grandmother's funeral in Dallas.

She works as a Lux Atlantic Hotel manager, and she's a workaholic with basically no life whatsoever.

Due to the bad weather and flight delay, she meets a dude called Jack Rippner (played by Cillian Murphy, who is in Inception)(Doesn't it remind you of Jack the Ripper?) in the airport bar thingy, who was also waiting to go on the plane. He was incredibly charming and well, sweet. (Which seems to maybe have 'captured' Lisa's heart.)

Another big surprise is that they were to be seated next to each other on a plane, and then, 'Jack', whose full name is 'Jackson Rippner' (which is a stupid name, sorry.) is a terrorist dude working for a group who wants to assassinate a major politician called Charles Keefe (and unknowingly, his family), and Lisa is a major part of their plan because of her job, at the Lux Atlantic Hotel where the Keefe family was staying. If she refuses to help Jackson, then Jackson will then call a hitman to kill her father (Joe Reisert) at his home. Lisa pretty much is stuck with no way of getting help without pretty much jeopardising her father's safety/life/whatever word you'd like - and the longer she waits, I guess it would be harder to prevent the assassination from happening.

She pretty much becomes a hero tryhard. Her first attempt is when an old lady from the check-in line comes to talk to her about a Doctor Phil book which she had been reading on the flight (as Lisa had given the book to her.) She tries to write a warning in the woman's book. But soon after, Rippner later finds out, and he headbutts her suddenly. Rendering her unconscious, of course. She tries again, but going into the bathroom and writing a warning on the mirror with soap. She tries to leave, but she's stopped. Jackson sees the message, and she's shoved back in.

THERE IS NO ROMANTIC SCENES IN THIS MOVIE WHATSOEVER. Forgot to write that a long time ago. Sorry.

Now, back to the plot.

Lisa begs Jackson to not kill her father, to which he says something along the lines of not gambling with her father's life. He then notices a scar above Lisa's watermelon and asks her about the scar's history. Lisa refuses to answer and then Jackson starts choking her, because she is not 'ebing honest with him, when he had been nothing but brutally honest with her'. After letting go, he erases the writing on the mirror while she's gasping for air.

They leave the bathroom and the flight attendant thinks that they were having sex in there. One of the flight attendants say the word 'Trash', I believe.

The assassination plan is to use a portable missile launcher thingy from a boat in a nearby harbour thingy and fire it at the Lux Hotel. The problem is, Charles Keefe (the politician from before) likes to stay in a different suite, which faces the city, instead of facing the harbour. In order to kill him, Jackson forces Lisa to make a phone call from the plane (I didn't know that plane phones existed either, but they exist in this movie) and order the hotel staff to change his reservation from the city facing room to a particular suite (4080) which faces the harbour.

After a failed attempt, 'cause of turbulence in which the phone died, Lisa makes the phone call, and the staff move the politician + family to the targeted suite/room/whatever. Jackson still needs Lisa and he can't let her and her father go until he's getting a phone call confirming that the Keefe family are dead. *dum dum*
The room's checked and then Charles settles in with his family.

After the plane lands, Lisa tells Jackson about the history of the scar, which is when she was raped at knifepoint in a parking lot (T'was incredibly sad), and then stabs Jackson in his throat with a pen, stealing his mobile phone and bolting off the plane into the terminal thing. Lisa runs through the airport, barely escaping the airport security, and of course, Jackson Rippner.

She steals an SUV to give herself time to use Jackson's phone. She makes a call to the hotel to warn them to evacuate immediately and the deputy director is a target of an assassination plot. They get evacuated just in time. Which was good. Her second call was going to be to her father, but the battery decides to bail out on her and she's forced to drive to her father's house in order to 'save' him before Jackson can call the hitman dude.

Lisa rushes to her father's house to ensure his safety. She sees the hitman outside the front door, which she runs over with the stolen SUV, crashing through the front of the house. Lisa's father stumbles out of the kitchen, shocked at the hitman who is now lying dead and tells her that the cops are coming soon.

When Lisa calls her hotel to see if everything's okay, Jackson decides to show up and knocks her father out so she can deal with Lisa first. He chases her through the house with a 'freaking' (sorry Annie) butcher's knife and throws her down a flight of stairs. Lisa crawls down the last few steps, where a gun is lying next to the run-over/dead hitman. She threatens Jackson with the gun, and Jackson attempts to escape but Lisa shoots him before he can. He kicks the gun out of her hand and grabs her by the hair when Lisa's dad recovers from being knocked out and shoots Jackson as the cops arrive.

If he actually dies is unknown. It's part of the mystery. I hope he lives though, I'd like him to take revenge on Lisa or something.

And that's the end of the movie.

It's cool, yeah?

And anywayyyyy, hehe, I'll just go now, since I'm too annoying.

GOODBYE.
